Why the Chimes Rang

In a faraway land there was a very old church. On top of the church tower there hung beautiful chimes. Every Christmas night, the chimes would start ringing by themselves.
Do you know why?
The people of the land believe that long before the church was built, a young man and his wife once had taken shelter on Christmas night be a I under a tree behind the church. That night the wife gave birth to a baby boy. Suddenly, there appeared a very bright star in the sky only to disappear soon. Before leaving, the next morning the young couple placed a few bells under the tree as a token of their respect to God. Years later, when the church was being built, the bells were found by a mason. He hung them on the tower. Since then they have rung on every Christmas.
