Alice was wandering in Wonderland when she saw a white rose tree. Three gardeners, who were actually a pack of cards, were painting the roses red. “How strange. Everyone I meet here acts in a funny way. I wonder why?” Alice thought to herself. She asked politely, “Why you are painting the roses?” The gardeners bowed low to her and said, “You see, we planted a white rose tree by mistake. The queen will have our heads cut off if she finds out.” Just then the Queen of Hearts came by in a grand procession. She looked at the rose tree and after checking it, shrieked, “Off with their heads!” Alice hid the frightened gardeners in a flowerpot and saved their lives. She left the gardeners and continued her journey through lands where she had many more adventures.
