There was a gardener who tended his garden passionately. He loved all his vegetables and flowers. His vegetables were very tasty and famous throughout the kingdom. His garden was a delight for onlookers. One day, a hare broke into his garden and damaged the plants and the vegetables. The gardener tried to chase it away but every day the hare would plunder his garden. At last, the gardener went to the king for help. The king sent his army to the garden. There was a feast before the search for the hare began. The hare was found at last but the king’s hunters had done more damage to the garden than a hundred hares could have done. And the poor gardener wept and wondered, “Ah! Will my garden ever be the same again?”
