Once a fox was crossing a river on a bright, sunny day. After coming out of the river, he walked towards the forest. On his way, his tail got entangled in a bush and he was stuck. He could no longer move. Seeing the fox’s condition, some mosquitoes sat on his tail and began to bite it and suck blood.
In the meantime, a hedgehog was passing by. He saw the fox in pain and took pity on him. He offered to help the fox by killing the mosquitoes or driving them away. But strangely, the fox refused the help. He said, “The mosquitoes are already full with my blood and cannot have more. If they are driven away fresh mosquitoes will come and attack me, and bleed me to death!”
