In olden times, kites and swans were blessed with an amazing talent. They could sing very well and used to entertain everyone, young and old, with their melodious voice. Sometimes they would even sing in the king’s court. People came from far and wide to hear them sing.
One day, they heard the neigh of a horse. They were delighted by this unfamiliar sound. They thought the horse’s neigh was better than their voice and -wished that they could also neigh like the horse. So, they tried very hard to imitate that sound. As a result they forgot what they knew best—to sing. No one came to hear them anymore and praise their beautiful songs. In the desire to learn something that was not fit for them, they lost what they already had.
