Catherine was a dull and stupid woman. Her husband tried hard to make her clever but failed. One day, he had to go away for a few days.
Before leaving, he put some gold coins in a box and buried it in the garden. He told Catherine that he was burying a box of sunflower seeds.
After a few days, some pot sellers came to the village. They showed the pots to Catherine. She liked them but had no money to buy them.
Suddenly, Catherine had an idea. She remembered the sunflower seeds and asked the pot sellers if they would exchange their pots for her sunflower seeds. They were curious to see the seeds, so she told them to dig out the box that her husband had buried.
The pot sellers were happy to walk away with the gold coins!
